They are made to DIN 1897 industry standards (metric sizing), which helps ensure that drill bits around the world, conform to the same specifications.
They are used in machines such as handheld portable drills, drill presses, machining centers, and lathes. Drill bits come in a variety of types and lengths.
Adheres to NAS 907 standards, used in the aerospace industry Short-length drill bits, for better rigidity and increased strength High-speed steel (HSS) containing cobalt is a good combination of toughness and hardness, for use on drilling through hard substances Gold oxide, retains cutting fluid and prevent chip to tool welding 135-degree split point angles, good for hard, tough materials
Features
This drill has a precision ground profile, right-hand cutting type N and an extra short cylindrical design. With its high-performance HSS material and 135° tapered section, the cross-ground smooth surface finish conforms to DIN 1412 C (from 3.0 mm diameter).
Applications
For thin plates, steel and cast steel (alloyed and unalloyed, strength up to 800 N/mm²), cast iron, malleable iron, ductile iron, short-chip aluminum alloys, copper, hard brass, bronze, die castings, etc.
Advantage
Particularly suitable for hand-held drilling rigs, thanks to the self-centering drill tip, which enables very precise guided drilling without the use of a center punch.
